    • Date Unknown - Letter including notes from prior meeting of Narragansett Flotilla 709
      • Met at Rhode Island Yacht Club @2000 Hrs
      • Kenneth Earle FC (Flotilla Commander)
      • Paul Morrison VFC (Flotilla Commander)
      • Magician Harry Sheer provided entertainment
      • Members encouraged to “Box the compass’
         
  • 1976 - Division 7 requests Flotilla 705 to conduct a Public Education Class at Narragansett H.S.
     
  • 1978
    • June 1978 - Press Release announcing formation of new Flotilla, Master Chief Shields, Rear COMO South, Div. 7 DC
    • 27 July 1978 – Organizational Meeting
      • Earle Hodgdon FC, Richard Howard VFC
      • Boats (required for membership) RED SKY, SPIRITS II, HALF-A-TOOT, ROUGE II
    • 14 October, 1978 - Charter dinner, University Club, URI
      • Received $100 donation from Div. 7 to purchase BS&S books and supplies
      • Flotilla was presented a plaque engraved with Charter members, a gavel and a framed painting of USCGC EAGLE

    • October 1979 – Flotilla meetings moved from Station Point Judith because of insufficient space.

    • Flotilla receives Outstanding Division 7 Flotilla Award

    • March 1980 – Flotilla received the LT. Kenneth L. Lambertson trophy (highest District flotilla)

    • 09 April 1981 – Incorporated in RI as Non-profit
    • January, 1981 – First issue of Flotilla newsletter FO’C’SUL Published
    • May 28, 1981 – Three canoeists rescued off Scarborough Beach by Popowich, Gorham, Grabowski
    • December 1981 – Financial balance $818. Sale of Tide tables $800, Flea Market $74.50, Raffle $27

    • Flotilla receives Outstanding division 7 Flotilla Award
    • Meetings being held at NOAA facility

    • Judge Sterling towed to safety by Griffith, Saur, Mulholland. Flotilla returns a $50 “thank you” contribution
    • Fifth Anniversity issue of Fo’C’Sul, 24 members, Outstanding Div. 7 Flotilla Award
