Navigation Problem of the Week
(We will publish a new problem each week along with the previous week's solution)
Answer to Previous Week's Problem on Public Education Page.
Problem 25-2009
If you have questions or would like to submit your solution, contact David Nelson.

Problem 26-2009:
The crew of “Tresta” has decided to visit Westport Harbor and depart in the evening for Nantucket.  The intended track is SE from Westport Harbor to R “32” Fl R 2.5 s WHIS before turning to port into Vineyard Sound.  This track will bring Tresta by “Buzzards Horn” as well as R “36” Fl R 4 s Bell which guards Sow and Pigs Reef.  If the lights on these three marks are all out, the backup plan is to use “GAY HEAD Light” (20 M nominal range) to make a Danger Bearing to keep West and South of Sow and Pigs Reef.  “GAY HEAD Light” bears 114 degrees from Sow and Pigs Reef.

Is this danger bearing labeled Not Less Than (NLT) or Not More Than (NMT) 114 degrees?
